Synopsis

Metroid Dread is an action-adventure videogame released in 2021 and belonging to the Metroid series. It was developed by the Spanish studio MercurySteam in collaboration with the Nintendo EPD subsidiary and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch console. It is the fifth two-dimensional episode in the series and the first to use high-definition graphics. The game was released on 8 October 2021.

Following its announcement at E3 2021, pre-sales on Amazon made it the best-selling game in the UK and US and one of the top 10 best-selling video game in Japan.
