Synopsis:

Madrid, 1979. Ángel Cristo is the best lion tamer in the world. Bárbara Rey is an actress and muse of destape cinema, the most desired woman in Spain. Only a few weeks go by from the moment they meet until they announce their marriage. It is the wedding of the year and the news is on the front pages of all the magazines. Bárbara Rey and Ángel Cristo’s Circus becomes the hottest new show and a huge business.

Money, fame, luxury... Nine years of relationship in which Spain witnessed the couple’s happiness: the birth of Angelito and Sofía, the purchase of sports cars, jewellery, an ostentatious villa in La Moraleja... Away from the media, however, lies an escalation of drug addiction, gambling, infidelity and ill-treatment...

And, in the background, the shadow of Barbara’s relationship with a powerful statesman.
