Synopsis:
Raw, rare, rare, medium rare, rare, and well done. Painted on a ceramic plate, Rachel Patricio is a fat girl and a nuisance to her mother. As a teenager, Larissa Rahal rediscovers her body and the potential of her menstruation through watercolour brushstrokes. At the height of youth, among glitches and digital noises, the singer Raquel Virginia exposes the risks she faces every day for being who she is. Clay in constant metamorphosis represents Valkyrie's body transforming throughout the climacteric. The actress Helena Ignez, icon of Brazil's New and Marginal Cinema, drawn in Indian ink on the 35mm negative, tells how her body was important to her artistic profession, but also how she was abused.
Five women and their relationship with their bodies, from childhood to old age, make up the animated documentary ‘Carne’.
